Musical Theater Camp
PAW offers the ultimate arts experience, from rehearsal to performance, in a safe, nurturing and non-competitive environment. PAW Musical Theater campers do not need to audition for a place in camp or for a part in the show. Every child will receive a role in the show based on individual aptitude and what will best suit their comfort level. PAW teachers are specialists in their fields and have extensive experience working with children. Additionally, our teachers have or are working towards their degree in the arts, while some are already working professionals in theater, film or television.
“To be an actor, you have to be a child.”
- Paul Newman
STEP INTO THE SPOTLIGHT AND SHINE ON STAGE!
If you’ve been “bit” by the acting bug . . .
come join us for an exciting adventure in theater!
Named BEST Summer Camp and BEST Children’s Live Theater in LA Parent Magazine, PAW’s Musical Theater summer camp is a creative, safe space where kids ages 6-14 can learn the craft of acting.
Expand your horizons and awaken the artist within! Young actors of all skill levels are welcome, from novices to seasoned thespians alike. All you need is a little curiosity and a love for performing!
PAW’s core curriculum of acting, dance, voice & speech is designed with children in mind. Coupled with the guidance of our teachers, the curriculum fosters a “creative state” with which students are empowered to realize their personal and artistic potential. In addition to these core skills, our campers will also enjoy learning about physical comedy, stage presence, commercials, playwriting, stage combat, improv and much, much, more!
“Acting is a child’s prerogative.
Children are born to act.”
-Joanne Woodward

CASTING & CAMP ACTIVITIES
- We at Performing Arts Workshops work to provide a non-competitive, nurturing and fun environment for our campers. Children are enrolled in camp on a first come, first served basis. No audition is necessary.
- All roles in the workshops are assigned to the children by our staff. Campers are not required to do cold readings or prepare memorized audition pieces.
- We reserve the right to determine casting at our discretion.
- Any special clothing, costumes or dress is provided by the parents.
- Our camp recital is free and attended by the friends and family members of our campers.
Discover The PAW Difference
- Our campers are able to participate in our camp and receive parts in our shows without ever having to audition!
- Family and friends are able to attend our shows without ever having to buy or sell a ticket to the performances…they are free!
- PAW has no hidden production costs or fees. Unlike so many other camps, here at PAW, you will never pay fees for photos, video, costume, mic, sets, theater, or tickets.
- We post free camp photos and video reels on our Facebook page for family and friends to enjoy and download.
- We encourage parents to enjoy taking photos and video for their personal enjoyment of our camp shows.
- Our teachers are our primary focus when we think of what is provided to your child. Every teacher comes to us either possessing or working towards their degree in their arts discipline as well as having prior work teaching children. They also clear a criminal background check prior to being placed in the classroom.
- Our focus is on the educational value of an arts experience, utilizing a child friendly and family friendly approach.
- PAW works hard to ensure no child goes without an arts education if they want one. We have scholarship assistance, family & friend discounts, and a company culture of caring.
