Beat the summer heat with some comic relief!
PAW’s Camp LOL is the place for aspiring young comics to hone their skills and learn the finer points of the comedian’s craft. Camp LOL is designed for novices and experienced performers alike. Students will be guided by skilled, nurturing instructors who will help them build a strong foundation on which to develop their talents.
Beginning with voice, speech, and diction, students will be immersed in the fundamentals: improv, joke structure, sketch writing, creating characters, developing an on-stage persona, joke writing, joke delivery and performance. As the week progresses, campers will develop a 3 to 5 minute repertoire of jokes ~ their “set”, which they will perform for friends and family on the final day of camp!
There’s more to the comic’s craft than just fun and jokes. The mastery of stand-up comedy offers a number of benefits, including building self-confidence and esteem, critical thinking, developing language and oratory skills, improvisational thinking, making friends and more.

PARTICIPATION AND CAMP ACTIVITIES
- We at Performing Arts Workshops work to provide a non-competitive, nurturing and fun environment for our campers.
- Children are enrolled in camp on a first come, first served basis. NO audition or prior experience is necessary.
- We reserve the right to determine activities, workshops and inclusion of performance pieces for live presentation at our discretion.
- Any special clothing, costumes or dress is provided by the parents. Our camp recital is free and attended by the friends and family members of our campers.

CAMP LOL: $485 per 1 week session

SUNRISE STUDENT 8:00am-8:45am
$15 per day when paid by the day as needed or it’s reduced to $10 per day when paid in advance for the full session.
EXTENDED PLAY 3:10pm-5:00pm (where available):
$25 per day when paid by the day as needed or it’s reduced to $20 per day when paid in advance for the full session.
