Step into the spotlight and come shine on stage! If you’ve been “bit by the acting bug”, come join us for an exciting adventure in theater! Voted 2010’s BEST Children’s Live Theater and BEST Summer Camp in LA Parent Magazine, PAW’s Musical Theater summer camp is a creative, safe haven where kids ages 5 – 14 can learn the craft of acting.  Expand your

horizons and awaken the artist within! Young actors of all skill levels are welcome, from novices to seasoned thespians alike. All you need is a little curiosity and a love for performing!

PAW’s core curriculum of acting, dance, voice & speech is designed with children in mind. Coupled with the guidance of our teachers, the curriculum fosters a “creative state” with which students are empowered to realize their personal and artistic potential. In addition to these core skills, our campers will also enjoy learning about physical comedy, stage presence, commercials, playwriting, stage combat, improv and much, much, more!

PAW offers the ultimate arts experience, from rehearsal to performance, in a safe, nurturing and non-competitive environment. PAW Musical Theater campers do not need to audition for a place in camp or for a part in the show. Every child will receive a role in the show based on individual aptitude and what will best suit their comfort level. Our teachers are specialists in their fields and have extensive experience working with children. Many of our teachers work professionally in theater, film and television and/or have their bachelors or masters degrees in their respective fields.

Although the performances are always superb, it is the process the campers go through and the fun they have that are the most important elements. The final day of camp culminates in a performance which is free and open to the family and friends of our students. When the lights shine and the curtain goes up, it’s show time, as our campers put their skills on display, and wow the audience with the presentation of our main theme! “The play is the thing”, indeed!
This summer, build self-esteem and make lifelong memories at PAW’s Musical Theater Camp!
“Pretending is not just play. Pretending is imagined possibility. Pretending, or acting, is a very valuable life skill and we do it all the time.”
