Been "bit" by the acting bug? Then join us for an exciting adventure in theater. Campers age 5 - 13 aren’t required to be "experts" - just have a curiosity and a love for acting. Our kids are beginning to advanced level performers.

Children are assisted by specialists in acting, voice & speech, dance, stage presence and tv commercial workshop to explore the fundamentals of theater. In addition, our program includes a glimpse into gymnastics, magic, physical comedy, jazz and hip-hop. We at Performing Arts Workshops feel it is this blend of activities that provides the most special and positive camp experience a child can have.

Although the performances are always superb, it’s the process the campers go through and the fun they have that are the most important elements. The recitals we present are a distillation of the most beloved scenes and songs young actors can rehearse and perform within three weeks. The final day of camp culminates in a showcase of what our campers have learned in their workshops, as well as our main theme.

Each Friday will have it’s own special theme. Parents will receive a schedule ahead of time. Some of these fun events include: Pajama Party, American Idol Day, Freaky Friday, Scavenger Hunt, Super Soaker Day, Hawaiian Day and Performance Day. In addition, we have professional entertainers and guest teachers scheduled to perform.

- We at Performing Arts Workshops work to provide a non-competitive, nurturing and
  fun environment for our campers.
- All roles in the workshops are assigned to the children by our staff. Campers are not
  required to do cold readings or prepare memorized audition pieces.
- We reserve the right to determine casting at our discretion.
- Any special clothing or dress is provided by the parents.  Our camp recital is free and
  open only to the friends and family members of our campers.

SPECIAL EVENT DAYS

CASTING & CAMP ACTIVITIES

CAMP - $625 for each 3 week session
EXTENDED DAY - $15 per day (paid by the day as needed)
If paid in advance, Extended Day is reduced to only $10 per day

CAMP TUITION & EXTENDED DAY

  * Supervised play & drop off period is offered until 8:30am

  * Please have your child arrive at camp site no later than 8:35am.  End of the
    day pick up begins at 3:00pm.

  * Courtesy pick up period is 3:00pm to 3:10pm.  Any child left after 3:15 will
    have an extended day tuition of $15. Extended day is only $10 per day if
    paid at the time of registration.

  * In our workshops, rehearsals, events and other camp activities, kids may be
    grouped according to age and/or individual aptitude.

  * SNACK & LUNCH - Children must bring a snack for midmorning break and
    a sack lunch containing non-perishable food. We do not provide
    refrigeration or beverages.

1. All registration, camp hours, attendance, casting and refund policies.
2. I understand the campers will range in ages 5-13, and on a first come first serve basis.
    PAW reserves the right to offer only 60 spaces per session, per  camp site.
3. Allow PAW to use their selected nurse, physician or call 911 in the event of an
    emergency and I cannot be reached.  I must disclose to PAW any special needs or
    allergies my child may have and agree to provide arrangments as required by PAW.
4. Allow my child to participate in any promotional pictures from the camp.
5. Cancellation of any session has a $75.00 non-refundable registration fee.
6. Deadline for refund requests is 10 working days prior to first day of camp.
    (1st day, 6/23/08)
7. I understand there are no cash refunds if my child is absent due to illness, withdraws
    early or is removed from camp due to behavior or discipline problems.
8. PAW reserves the right to substitute activities as necessary.
9. *Session III in Northridge & Redondo is 2 weeks only, Aug. 4 - Aug. 15 at $416 
    Ext. Day at $100
